Hello I am Jayla Patton, As of December 2013 I am a graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and I enjoy using Adobe Flash and Zbrush.
My major is Media Arts and Animation, and I currently work as an Animation Instructor at the Pittsburgh Center For the Arts.
Recently I taught stopmotion animation in the PRYSE (Pittsburgh Refugee Youth Summer Enrichment) Academy which gives refugee children the opportunity to learn and get accustomed to their new homes while not feeling alienated here in Pittsburgh.
We spent time learning their stories and interviewing them on what made them feel most at home, and times when they didn’t feel like they were home.
